My Disclaimer

This is not a website for profit, so I don’t have a lot of rules. I claim copyright to all material herein, mostly to protect the lead-in prose to each recipe that are mine and mine alone. One cannot copyright a recipe, so feel free to cut, paste, recreate, reprint, abscond, steal or call your own. The more my recipes populate the Internet, the greater satisfaction I’ll have. And if you’re classy enough to give me credit, as I credit those from whom I have received inspiration for each dish, then thank-you. If you lack that kind of class, c’est la vie. My ego doesn’t need the recognition. But don’t steal my lead-in prose and call it yours, because I’ll get pretty cranky.

That brings me to two other bits of legalese.

Photography: This is not a heavy-photographic cooking blog like many you find on the Internet these days. This blog was never about photography. It was about writing and cooking. I provide a photo representative of the dish about which I am writing so you have an idea of what the end results might look like. Some photography on this site is mine, generally taken with a smart phone. I’m not a great photographer, but sometimes I get lucky. Or sometimes, My Number One Fan gets a good shot. When we do, I’ll use them. Other photography is either stock photography from the Squarespace site or photography through Squarespace of Getty Images for which I have paid a licensing fee. Still other photographs were taken from what I believe to be in the public domain. If, however, I am using a photograph for which you can legally claim copyright and do not wish to give me permission to use it, then please make a comment to that effect in the Comment Section of that recipe, and I’ll be happy to remove it.

Brand Name Products: Again, you will note this site is non-monetized and I don’t focus a lot of attention on search engine optimization. Suggestions or examples of particular brands of food products are un-endorsed and for which I am not compensated. I put them in my recipes because that’s the brand that I used and I was happy with the results. Use them, or don’t. But if you want my results, use the brands I recommend.
